Assistant Professor of Philosophy, Rob Gressis, will be the keynote speaker. Professor Gressis is on faculty at California State University Northridge Philosophy and he will be presenting on what philosophy is. Professor Gressis is an excellent speaker and I am sure he will enlighten us. I am also very excited to announce that our plenary speaker will be Professor of Jewish Studies/Philosophy Zev Garber. Professor Garber is a renowned author/speaker and has been on faculty here at LAVC for over 30 years. Professor Garber will speak on a philosophical-mystical take on the Jewish Jesus to acknowledge the publication of his new edited volume, The Jewish Jesus: Revelation, Reflection, Reclamation (Purdue University Press, 2011).
