Philosophy Club Spring 2012 Semester meets on Thursdays 2-3 in CC-205


phi·los·o·phy (fi-los-uh-fee): The rational investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, and conduct.

Do you enjoy engaging in conversation with fellow students on a variety of topics, such as morality, politics, science, beauty, art, and discussing questions like “why are we all here?” and “what is justice?”

Philosophy club might be just right for you! Come to our weekly informal gatherings to discuss and debate ideas in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. There is no fee to join, just show up and have fun!!!

Philosophy Lecture Series

Join us here at LA Valley College for a series of exciting and informative lectures. If you have ever been interested in philosophy, then come for one or for all of the lectures that will be held over the course of the spring semester, 2012. These lectures are free of charge and will put on by the gracious efforts of the instructors in the philosophy department at LA Valley College. All lectures will be held in Campus Center 104 on Tuesdays beginning on February 21st from 7 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Annual Meetings 2011 of American Academy of Religion (AAR) and Society of Biblical Literature (SBL)

Annual Meetings 2011 of American Academy of Religion (AAR) and Society of Biblical Literatrure (SBL) will be held in San Francisco November 19-22.

The National Association of Professors of Hebrew (NAPH) is an affiliate of SBL and will be running a number of sessions. One session will feature the Jewish Jesus (by Zev Garber) volume as a Book Event.
